Consultant Cockerell

The first time we met her was for our 14 week scan, she has renewed my faith in the Rosie, she was training a young Dr called Sade, she was patient, informative, kind and funny.
So a welcome change from the previous sonographer. Which is a relief because the appointments are an hour long.
She tested the nuchal translucency our risk of Downs was something like 1:136 because of my age ethnicity etc, and higher because of triplets! and I said that Richard and I had discussed it and we would leave with what were given, (I know I was still feeling sensitive about the "why don't you get rid of one or two" of them remarks from John, Richard's father), she was cool about it and said we only needed to talk about things if we needed to talk about things so didn't give me a complete get out of jail free card. As it is the risk went down massively :-) :-) :-)




Something like 1:869. I couldn't have been happier. Obviously there are still many risks. But that one is less. AC also told me to stop worrying about eating more, I guess I have reserves LoL. The babies are all the right size, they will be monitored alot for Twin to Twin transfusion syndrome, where one identical gets all the nutrients and the other withers. They feel healthy enough. I feel them move it feels like an alien abduction!
