I now have 7 follicles of a reasonable size the biggest was 17, I only had 5 on Thursday and the biggest was about 13 so that is 2 new ones in 4 days but they are growing slowly apparently they can grow 2mm a day so they are a bit slow. Apparently there is one immature one, I wonder if that could grow by Friday? which is the day that my eggs will be retrieved, because they don't grow in a linear fashion (although they do in amenorrheic women with dormant ovaries grow in a linear fashion)
I was surprised it will be on Friday because, last week William (Giggling Gyniee) said that he thought it might be Wednesday! So for Michael (The Chinese Gyniee) to say Friday was a shock, particularly as some of the folicles seem to be the right size now.
Those last two days of extra drugs cost enough for a pair of Chanel Sun Glasses as well.
I wonder what I will count costs in, in the future if this is successful. That is the same as 6 packets of Nappies?!?
If it isn't successful, it will be that is the same price as a deposit on a house? Of a Small house? An all inclusive round the world trip for 2 on a Cruise Ship.
If it works it will be worth it :-) I am positive, but a bit scared :-)
Apparently my left ovary has apparenlty moved over to join the right one, apparently its normal but how weird is that.
So yesterday there were big articles in the news that couples are risking their fertility by leaving it so late, lots of interesting ecconomic outcomes possible!
When speaking to Someone at the clinic today he practically said that women should not put off having children if they want them even if they don't have a partner! He said women who freeze their eggs are wasting their time because only 2 women have ever become pregnant after egg freezing.
If people are getting used to their lovely holidays and building careers etc etc etc, but women are being told to have children and men have got used to controlled fertility. What will happen?
Will more men have vasectomies thinking they are easily reversed?
Will more women go out and intentionally become single mothers?
Will women become more predatory than men?
Will there be more sexually transmitted diseases?
Would it be a better economic policy "for the government" to give women more access to IVF rather than risk them all going out and getting pregnant younger? Not getting jobs, not paying tax and claiming benefits and wanting support and assistance?
Should the government support educated women who want to get pregnant in their 20s by writing off part of their student loan?
Should the government write off a couples debts completely at 40 if there is only one child in a stable family? Weird questions I know?

Sadly, the majority of women I know undergoing IVF are younger than 38 (including myself). I'm not sure I trust the argument that the boom in IVF is because of older women.
I do believe that there are fewer babies available for adoption because there is less of a stigma and more support for single mothers, so young people who might have once considered that option are choosing IVF instead.
Good luck to you!
